Have you ever paused long enough to take note of the fact that every space you walk into has an atmosphere all its own? Some spaces fall in the “neutral” zone, and are, to quote everyone’s most beloved American Idol judge - “forgetable.”

Other atmospheres are so charged with clutter, chaos and confusion, that even in their stillness, they somehow manage to produce a clamoring noise, and disturb the human soul so much, we can nearly feel the slap on the face as we rush towards the exit! We well know both of these spaces are disastrous for realtors!

And then there’s those spaces that nearly embrace you when you enter in - and you find yourself exhaling as your eyes slowly caress the room. Everything is in order. The room is balanced. The art and accessories are appropriately placed, and there are no loud, disruptive or competing elements. You find yourself wanting to stay…to linger…but you’re also eager for the next room that seems to beckon you onward.

And this, my friends, is the overarching theme and personal goal that guides my every decision - every time I walk into a home. Whether I am there to stage the home to sell, or restyle it for “keeps”, it’s all about creating the right atmosphere! Atmospheres that aesthetically produce beauty, and balance, and intangibly produce harmony and peace. It’s all about the atmosphere!
